St. Kitts and Nevis Establishes Diplomatic Relations With Nepal

H.E. Sam Condor, Permanent Representative of St Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations together with his Nepalese counterpart in New York, on Wednesday, 30th May 2018, signed a Joint Communiqué to establish diplomatic relations between St Kitts and Nevis and Nepal.

At a brief ceremony at the Permanent Mission of Nepal, Ambassador Condor exchanged brief words with H.E. Mr. Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Permanent Representative of Nepal expressing the importance of these events which demonstrate a commitment to enhancing relationships.  This gesture signaled and confirmed the interest of both countries to strengthen bilateral relations. Both Ambassadors also expressed a desire to deepen cooperation at the multilateral level.

This signing of formal diplomatic relations with Nepal is a further manifestation of the efforts of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis to increase its diplomatic footprint worldwide and to forge links with non-traditional partners.

Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia.
