Basseterre, St. Kitts, (November 09, 2017) -On Thursday 10 November, 2017 at Government House in St. Kitts, His Excellency Aberlardo Hernandez Ferrer, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Kitts and Nevis, presented his credentials to His Excellency The Governor-General of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP.
The newly accredited Cuban Ambassador’s earlier tour of duty was to the former Soviet Union, later Russia, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Democratic Republic of Laos.
His Excellency the Governor-General expressed appreciation to Cuba for its continued contribution to the human capacity building of nationals. To date, one hundred and eighteen (118) nationals have graduated from Cuban Universities and embarked upon careers that have positively impacted the Federation, especially in the areas of education, health, agriculture and the private sector. There are currently forty-one (41) students presently pursuing studies in Cuba.
Ambassador Hernandez Ferrer thanked Saint Kitts and Nevis for its continued support to Cuba in the international sphere and expressed his commitment to do all that he can do during his tour of duty, to strengthen the bond of friendship that exist between the Republic of Cuba and the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
